From time to time designers will work together on a single font or group of fonts. This can be fun, and help designers learn from each other.
Until now, this has been difficult to handle on distribution sites. Typically one designer or the other has to share the font, sometimes renaming it for the other designer to allow them to share it as well, and ad-share has been impossible.
Today we are introducing a feature to allow collab fonts to be shared on MakersType seamlessly.
Multiple designers can be listed for any particular font. This will evenly split ad appearances, allow you to choose a single licensing option for the font or randomly choose between the designers.
The ability to add other designers is restricted and needs approval from a site admin. This is done so that random people can’t add themselves onto any font.
